Even and Odd Functions
Even and Odd functions have many similarities but are also quite different. They are similar because they both reflect but they differ because of how they reflect. Even functions reflect across the y axis, while Odd Functions reflect on the y axis and the x axis. To check on if the Function is even you have to check to see if f(x)=f(-x). To find out if a function is odd to have to see if f(-x)=-f(x). Some family functions will always remain in the category of being even, or in the category of being odd. A quadratic function will always be an even function. An example of a function that will always be odd is the cubic function. This topic was very easy to understand for me so I have no questions on this topic.
